Murud to Shrivardhan

The second day, we headed up for our next destination which was Shrivardhan, this place is situated on the coastal route of konkan.

We started our journey early in the morning with little drizzling. We returned the biryani utensils and then continued our ride towards Shrivardhan.

Konkan road are narrow but clean and smooth. We hardly spotted potholes. We stopped somewhere inbetween to have a breakfast. I don’t remember the exact name of the place where we stopped, but breakfast was delicious.

For reaching Shrivardhan you have two choices, either you can follow the road or else you can put your bikes/cars into the ferry from a place called Agardangaa Jetty. So we chose the second option. We went to the place and bought tickets for ferry and loaded our bikes into the ferry. Oh god, what a beautiful experience that was! You can see the mighty Janjira fort from the sea. It was an awesome experience, surely recommanded.

This ferry will drop you to a village called Dighi. From thereon Shrivardhan is 30kms. We booked our rooms in beach resort which was situated just 100 metres from the beach. You can literally see the beach from your room.

We checked in and explored the property which was very well kept. It was clean, and ample amount of space to maneuver around. Resort has Treehouses as well where you can relax a bit, watch the sun dipping into the sea.The property owner was very kind, they saw our bike’s number plates and asked us from where we came from and was it difficult to ride by bikes for such a long distance. He was quite curious and very generous as well. He simply told his staff to clean up the treehouse for us at no extra cost. And that is the beauty of a ride, you meet such an awesome people, get to know the culture closely.

In the evening we thought lets walk on the beach and witness the sunset. So we went on a beach and saw the sun dipping into the ocean slowly.

There is a sunrise and a sunset

Every single day and it is absolutely free

Don’t miss so many of them

Talking about the beach, it was clean and not crowded at all, Peace all-round. If you like to Visit quite beaches surely this is the place for you. There are watersports in peak season but quite in off season. Shrivardhan is a small place but quite and peaceful. So if you want to relax in peace, watching the ocean having a cup of tea in peace, this is the place! This sums up our day two.

Stay tuned
